4-Methoxypyridine N-oxide hydrate, chemical formula C6H6NO3, has the following properties:
1. Appearance: White crystalline solid.

3. Solubility: Soluble in water, ethanol and benzene and other organic solvents.

The general preparation method is to dissolve 4-methoxypyridine in water, and then slowly add excess sodium hydroxide Dropwise to the solution to keep it weakly alkaline. Hydrogen peroxide is then added and the reaction proceeds for a period of time. Finally, excess sodium hydroxide and water are removed using acidic conditions and solvents to give 4-Methoxypyridine N-oxide hydrate.
